Our Commitment to Accessibility

Peace Family Dental is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.

  • Form fields include clearly associated labels.
  • Links include descriptive text so users know where each link leads.
  • Pages use proper heading structure (H1, H2, H3) to aid navigation.
  • Videos and multimedia include captions or transcripts where applicable.
  • Our site is compatible with common screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.

Technical Specifications

This website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications)

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to address the following:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to provide accessible alternatives.
  • Third-party embedded content (such as maps or booking widgets) may have accessibility limitations beyond our direct control. We encourage providers to meet accessibility standards and we will seek accessible alternatives where possible.
